EVoShift tells you when something needs your attention: a new roster, a shift up for grabs, a request to approve. Every notification lands in the app's list; the ones you choose also arrive as a push on your phone.
The notification list
Open More → Notifications. New ones are on top under New, older ones under Earlier. Tap a notification to go where it points, or Mark all as read.
What you may get:
| For | Notification |
|---|---|
| Everyone | Roster published (with your shift count), a shift up for grabs, open shifts to take, someone asks you to take their shift, your shift is on the marketplace, handover approved or not approved, availability requested. |
| Managers | A swap request, someone wants to take a shift, an absence request, not clocked in (no-show). |
Push notifications
On a phone, allow notifications when the app asks (or later in the phone's settings). Then choose which kinds arrive as a push in Profile → Notification settings:
- Rosters: a roster is published or a shift is assigned to you.
- Shift swaps and marketplace: swap requests, claims, decisions and open shifts.
- Absence requests: someone in your team asks for time off.
- Availability requests: you are asked to fill in your availability.
- No-shows: someone has not clocked in after their shift started.
Turning a kind off only stops the push: the notifications still appear in the app's list.
No-show alerts
When someone has not clocked in a set time after their published shift started, the managers and the owner get one notification: Not clocked in: Anna Nowak. The time is set per workplace in Workplace settings → No-show alerts (default 15 minutes, or Off). Each manager can mute the push with No-shows in their notification settings.
Check Today at work on Home to see who is late at a glance: see Clocking in.
Emails
Some messages also go by email, e.g. an invitation to join a team or a password reset link. If an email doesn't arrive, check the spam folder.
